EDIFÍCIO ITÁLIA
O Edificio Itália, considerado o segundo maior da cidade, foi inaugurado em 1965 na cidade de São Paulo. Com 165 metros de altura, sendo 150 m a partir do chão, tornou-se um importante ponto turístico da capital. O prédio conta com 19 elevadores, 6 mil metros quadrados de vidro e tem capacidade para 10 mil pessoas.
O Itália se tornou um marco da cidade, não só pelo tamanho, mas também pelo famoso e tradicional restaurante, o Terraço Itália. Situado em sua cobertura, o restaurante permite uma vista de 360 graus da cidade de São Paulo e oferece uma das cartas mais completas de vinho da cidade.
Distribuídos entre os 46 andares do edifico, encontra-se também um teatro, uma galeria no térreo e o antigo clube Circolo Italiano, que hoje ocupa três andares. Projetado pelos arquitetos Franz Heep, Gio Ponti e Gregori Warchavchik, a idealização do edifício ficou a cargo da colônia italiana em São Paulo, cuja sede já situava-se no terreno onde fora construído um dos maiores exemplos de arquitetura vertical do País. Para quem passa pelo cruzamento das avenidas Ipiranga e São Luis, é quase impossível não olhar para o alto e tentar avistar o topo do prédio. Para quem quiser conferir de perto, o restaurante está aberto diariamente para visitação a partir do meio-dia.

ITALY BUILDING
The Edificio Italy, considered as the biggest one of the city, were inaugurated in 1965 in the city of São Paulo. With 165 meters of height, being 150 m from the soil, became an important tourist point of the capital. The building counts on 19 elevators, 6 a thousand square meters of glass and has capacity for 10 a thousand people.
Italy if became a landmark of the city, not only for the size, but also for the celebrity and traditional restaurant, the Italy Terrace. Situated in its covering, the restaurant allows a sight of 360 degrees of the city of São Paulo and offers one of the letters most complete of wine of the city.
