Dentre os inúmeros programas para se fazer na cidade de São
Paulo, ir às compras é uma das opções que não podem faltar num roteiro de visita. A metrópole reserva produtos provenientes de todo o mundo e tem
os bairros do Brás e Bom Retiro e a Rua 25 de março como as principais paradas para quem procura a capital com esse objetivo.
O Brás foi o primeiro pólo industrial da cidade e firmou-se desde então como um bairro operário, formado inicialmente por

Brás (Alobrás), o bairro com seus três quilômetros de extensão e 55 ruas que abrigam seis mil estabelecimentos comerciais recebe diariamente
entre 250 mil a 500 mil pessoas (em datas comemorativas) vindas de todo o Brasil e de vários lugares do mundo.
O Bom Retiro também é referência no quesito moda têxtil. A região, que abrigava chácaras para uso de finais de semana – daí o
nome “Bom Retiro” - tornou-se, em 1828, passagem obrigatória dos ciclos de imigrantes que chegavam ao Brasil. Na década de 1950, a área ganhou
força comercial ao longo dos seis quarteirões da Rua José Paulino, que até 1916 chamava-se Rua dos Imigrantes. Hoje as 1.200 lojas são atrações
para quem acompanha as tendências e quer estar sempre na moda.

Terminal 25 de Março é um dos principais pólos de recepção de visitantes de todo
País. Localizado próximo à rua homônima, é porta de entrada para as três mil empresas, sendo trezentas lojas de rua e duas mil e setecentas nos
diversos edifícios, galerias e ruas próximas.
A passagem pela Rua 25 de março é a melhor pedida para as compras de bijuterias, brinquedos, objetos de decoração e outros
acessórios para casa. Na Ladeira Porto Geral é possível encontrar lojas de fantasias, onde as noivas se divertem com as compras de adereços
engraçados para animar suas festas de casamento.
E para aproveitar bem o passeio, vale uma visita no Mosteiro de São Bento e no
Mercadão, ambos bem próximos à Rua 25 de março. O Mosteiro de São Bento, que abrigou em
2007 o Papa Bento XVI quando visitou o país, é um passeio imperdível na cidade de São Paulo: a basílica com suas lindas imagens e os cantos
gregorianos, que podem ser ouvidos de segunda a domingo. Já o Mercadão é referência nacional pela diversidade de aromas, cores e sabores de
frutas, verduras, legumes, vinhos, queijos, chocolates, carnes, frutos do mar e aves e claro, pelo famoso pastel de bacalhau e pelo sanduíche de
mortadela.
Linhas de ônibus
Pensando no conforto dos turistas que vêm à capital para as compras de final de ano, a prefeitura criou dois bolsões de estacionamento de ônibus
fretados (Sambódromo e Terminal 25 de Março) e quatro linhas interligando os bolsões ao Bom Retiro, Brás e Rua 25 de Março.
